Aberdeen Sees Commercial Property to cater for the Oil Industry

Local developer Knight Property continues on its happy way of building properties in Aberdeen to cater for the oil industry. Its latest scheme is a speculative industrial unit of 1,377 sq.metres (14,822 sq.ft.) at Kirkhill Commercial Park, Dyce, which is being marketed through Graham & Sibbald and Ryden. Knight’s Howard Crawshaw said: “The Kirkhill Commercial Park has proven popular due to the growing market for high quality industrial property in the Aberdeen area and Unit 3 is the last remaining site on the development.”

Also in Aberdeen, Knight Frank is marketing the 1,258 sq.metres (13,537 sq.ft.) former Rosemount Church and Hall which houses a cancer support charity, CLAN. Knight Frank’s Katherine Monro said: “It is likely that a purchaser will look to acquire planning for an alternative use such as residential units, a nursery, medical centre or offices.” The strength of Aberdeen is illustrated by the growth of Neptune, the multinational provider of engineering services to the oil, gas and subsea sectors, which has now moved from five locations to a new office at Queens Road. The relocation was managed by Space Solutions.
